MRPC has administered six Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Site Assessments Grants and one EPA Revolving Loan Fund grant. Utilizing funding from the Site Assessment grants, our member communities were able to complete 52 brownfield site assessments to date. The Revolving Loan Fund Grant provided for the successful cleanup and redevelopment of the Former Amory Packaging Site in Clinton. The site is currently a commercial and warehouse/distribution facility.
The Montachusett Brownfields Group is comprised of local lenders, lawyers, private and public sector funding entities, realtors, developers, community-based organizations, planners and community and economic developers.
